Challenge
Nickelodeon’s Kids Choice awards is an annual event for Nickelodeon.
Children vote for their favourite stars across a range of categories
Identifying that a large percentage of their audience were interacting via mobile, Nickelodeon engaged Nomad to develop a solution that allowed users to view star information and vote through a mobile site and application.
Response
Working with Deepend and Nickelodeon’s existing CMS, Nomad developed a solution that allowed users to view star galleries and information.
Users could then vote for their favourite stars as well as enter for a chance to win tickets to the event.
The mobile site is populated via the PC site CMS and content is optimized for a broad range of mobile handsets.
Results
The mobile solution gained over 30% of interactions across the campaign. Importantly, the site allows users to engage with Nickelodeon beyond traditional one way dialogue building deeper connections with brand and content.
The new mobile site caters to Nickelodeon’s mobile audience accounting for over 20% of interactions.
