When the zombie apocalypse inevitably occurs, make sure you have your iPhone on you. Based on the bestselling book, The Zombie Survival Guide, The Zombie Survival Guide Scanner is a free app that uses the iPhone’s rear camera to scan your friends to test for symptoms of zombification. Unfortunately it doesn’t scan photos and you need to position it steadily in front of your suspected undead threat, which would probably leave you somewhat in danger of becoming a brain buffet.

Hopefully it can distinguish between pre-coffee Monday morning friends and zombie virus-affected friends. Either way, it looks like a fun app and should help sell plenty of books.
