Nutricia – Patient Care & Management

Challenge

Challenge: Nutricia Advanced Medical Nutrition (AMN) are a leader in advance medical nutrition for disease management. AMN identified an opportunity to empower aged care staff with digital tools to screen residents for Malnutrition and then act to help make sure residents at risk are managed appropriately.

While competitors had already created similar tools, the opportunity to for the creation of comprehensive patient management and reporting paired with device and context optimised software was yet to be realised.

Response

Collaborating with the AMN team, Nomad developed a Context Perspective for the key users of the solution identifying business and user objectives to inform feature and functionality requirements. This foundation informed a Product Vision centred in quick and simple in field interactions with a solution that delivers an immediate visual perspective of the patients status.

Care staff can create and manage patients in a CRM style solution, with simple data entry for nutritional information and key health metrics. The CRM visualises the patients evolving health status and empowers staff with a broader perspective of the patients needs.
This approach means the care staff’s nutritional management of patients is optimised in real time, while also building a long term perspective of the patients health. For the aged care centre, a global view of their patients nutritional profile and needs means logistical management is optimised and overall nutritional care of their patients is of the highest quality.

Results

The solution evolves AMN’s offering beyond Nutritional Products towards patient management software. Sales teams are now able to engage with new clients through the provision of a holistic nutritional management tool, serving a core business objective for their clients. The development of the solution has been a valuable success for the AMN business, providing a powerful point of difference in a competitive market.
